This was our last dance before taking a summer break and probably the last dance in Oxford Hall. Mike and Alice have purchased an older house on 3/4 acre where they will build a new house and a new hall when their current property sells. Even if the Oxford house sells soon, it will be many months before they build a new dance hall.

What a fun evening! We did Bonny Cuckoo, Nonesuch, St. Margaret’s Hill, and The Fandango.
Our next dance will be on Friday, February 25, in conjunction with the CDSS Executive Committee meeting that is being held in Houston. The dance will start earlier — at 7:00 p.m. — and feature music by Andrea Katz and Kendall Rogers and calling by some of the CDSS board members. Tonight we worked on three of the “For Those Who Know” dances that will be done at Set For Spring: Kelsterne Gardens, The Bonny Cuckoo, and Mr. Isaac’s Maggot.

After reviewing crossover heys by dancing The Touchstone, we did Prince William for the first time in a very long while. Look for the instructions for Prince William, including a link to John Garden’s alternative interpretation, under the Dance Instructions menu.
The next dance is January 13.
After some confusion about the date of the November dance, which had to be changed because of a scheduling conflict with the hall, we had a really fun dance. We did:
