The 2024 Ball will be on Saturday, December 14 at Resurrection Metropolitan Community Church.
As with last year's Ball, the 2024 Ball will feature a combination of contra and English dances designed to appeal to everyone, experienced dancers and beginners alike.
Volunteers Needed Starting at 4:00
More help is needed at the Holiday Ball than at our regular dances, starting when the hall opens at 4:00 pm.
Volunteer jobs include setting up and decorating, coordinating the potluck, cleaning up, etc.
Please help! Tap the button to see a list of jobs to be filled and to sign up to help.
Potluck Dinner at 5:30 pm
For food allergy reasons, please bring a list of ingredients along with your dishes. As usual at HATDS dances, do not bring alcohol (it's also prohibited by the church).
There is no kitchen access. Outlets will be available for crockpots, but there are no real prep facilities. Bring food that’s ready to be served.
Please remember to take your utensils and leftovers home with you!
Dancing is from 7:30–11:00 pm
We encourage you to wear something festive for the Holiday Ball. Some people choose to wear formal attire, but most do something simple such as adding a colorful or holiday-themed garnish to their outfit.
Admission: $15 for HATDS members, $20 general admission
You may pay with cash, card, and electronic payment at the door. Help cover the higher venue rental and drop some dollars in the donation jar!

As usual, dancers younger than 18 are free—but see the minors policy at the bottom of this page.
Talent
The band is The Crossover Combo, a combination of players from Contra Dan's and Perfect 5th.
Members of the HATDS Caller Community (8 this year!) have planned a fun and varied program, including the return of a Grand March.
Alex Opekun will be lead sound tech, assisted by other members of the HATDS sound team.
