Holiday Ball

Happy HolidaysThe Holiday Ball is the annual celebration dance of the HATDS community. We usually decorate the hall and have more people and more food than our regular dances.

Formerly only a contra dance, the Ball is now a combination of contra and English dances designed to appeal to everyone.

The food at the Ball is always a special treat, thanks to the many people who bring something special to share. We hope that you will be one of them this year! (Just remember to take your utensils and leftovers home with you.)

Gents at the Ball

We encourage you to wear something festive for the Holiday Ball. Some people choose to wear formal attire, but most do something simple such as adding a colorful or holiday-themed garnish to their outfit.

The HATDS Holiday Ball is usually on the first or second Saturday in December. See the HATDS Schedule for the exact date, times, and location of this year's Ball.

For the good are always the merry, Save by an evil chance;
And the merry love the fiddle, And the merry love to dance.
