Houston Area Traditional Dance Society

Public dances remain suspended. Tap for more information.

Our regular contra dances are held at the West University Community Center.

Our regular English Country dances are held at First Unitarian-Universalist Church.

Special events are often held at the Knights of Columbus Roemer Hall.

West University Community Center

6104 Auden Street at the southwest corner of Auden and Rice Blvd.

Park on the streets around the building or in the lots on Milton Street behind the library building. That block of Milton from College to Auden is one way eastbound, so approach it from College.

West U Community Center Parking

Enter the building at the front doors; the hall is just inside the entrance. If you park in the Milton Street lots, you can exit the building through one of the rear doors when you leave.

First Unitarian-Universalist Church

5200 Fannin at Southmore. Park on Southmore or in the office building lot just west of the church—the lot that abuts the church's property. You can see in the Google street view below.

Enter the building through the side door from Southmore (shown below). The hall is straight ahead, past the kitchen.

Knights of Columbus

The Knights of Columbus Roemer Hall—there are two halls on the property—is the site of Bayou Bedlam, Set for Spring, and some other special events. This old dance hall, which has a sprung wood floor, is the wood building next to the entrance driveway and the picnic tables.

Knights of Columbus hall map

The Knights of Columbus is just north of the I-610 North Loop and west of I-45 at 607 E. Whitney, 77022.

Coming from the north on I-45: take the Airline exit and turn right on Whitney.

Coming from the south on I-45: take the Crosstimbers exit, turn left under the freeway, turn right on Airline and then left on Whitney.

You can also take either the N. Main or Airline exits off of the North Loop and go north to Whitney.
