Contra Dance Accounting
For accounting purposes, a contra dance
- is advertised as only a contra dance, and
- does not include a significant percentage of other dance types such as squares, ECD, or waltzes, and
- is part of our regular contra dance series, although maybe with a twist.
The dance may be somewhat out of the ordinary and still be considered a contra dance for accounting purposes. For example, it may
- be an additional dance, such as a 5th Saturday contra,
- have a special theme such as
for beginners
,* - have a different admission price,* or
- be done to recorded music rather than a live band.*
*To be noted in the Note field in the accounting worksheet.
For an event that does not fit the criteria above, such as an Old Time Square Dance or a combination contra/English Holiday Ball, use the Special Events form.
Due to problems in the past, only those who have completed the accounting tutorial/quiz are certified to use the online accounting pages at a contra dance or special event.
